Here is a horse that goes by the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. You can see the fence just above him.
I see Mallard Ducks and a few Mergansers so when I saw this duck I said something strange is migrating through. The best I can tell it is a female Bufflehead Duck that stopped at the pond for one day. It wasn't into smiling for the camera.
I had what was a small four point buck in my back yard so even though it was an ugly day I captured this head on shot. There is obviously a bigger buck in the neighborhood from the broken antler.
I did a little work on the antlers and turned him into a little 6 pointer.
I received an award from another friend.

Hey, FG, your gonna make my head swell!
Thanks, BBF!!
I love those snow/critter scenes. But they gave me a chill!
Oops, that was supposed to be BFF!!
FG,
Good selection of pics...wow that is one big buck you had in your back yard..he certainly looks healthy!
Just looking at the snow in the background makes me feeling cold, it's too hot over here.
Congratulations on the award. Yep, the tress are beautiful.
Great post. Know how many hunters would love to create more points on the antlers? LOL. Congrats on your award.
I love how those horses look in that snow and against the tree - a very beautiful shot!
Great potpourri FG! I've visited a number of times...just no posts. I feel like I know you well. I like what you did with the poor buck! He needed a boost!
Congrats on the award you sure deserve it.I really like the pictures
especially how you gave the deer back his missing antler.
I loved the post. How very kind of you to restore the buck's symmetry! Well, in the photo anyhow.
I love the horses in the snow! What lovely shots! It is frustrating when a strange bird or duck comes and you can't get a good shot and you want to identify it! I think water birds are really hard....they just swim further away. Nice deer!
These wildlife photos are terrific. I really like the ones of the horses in the snow. Nice job! And thanks for stopping by my blog too!

Nice snow pics FG. I hope we get some snow over here, it makes for a great photo - scene. Keep 'em coming!!
The first one of the horses in the snow is my favorite!
Putting antlers on the deer - aren't you clever.
Congratulations Mr Fishing Guy! hehe
Your blog deserves awards!!!
Amazing job you did on fixing the buck-and the after fix shot looks pretty enough to be a Christmas Card!! But the horse is my favorite-for some reason it almost make me tear up. I think horses are such gentle special animals-I sooo miss the ones we use to have.
Congrats on the award! You so deserve it for your outstanding blog and photos!! And thank you for the shout out to me-truly makes my day to know you like what I do!!
wow...that snow is pretty...you are ALMOST making me want some around here. lol
