Camera Critters #56

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

I saw a young buck behind the garden this week. You can see the horns starting to develop. I think it was the four point from last year, it may be a six pointer this year.
I see very little reason for it to stick out it's tongue but what can you do.
He knew I was there and I was holding my dog under leash. I could have gotten closer with-out him.
Sorry about the garden pole but I couldn't even see it while taking the photos.
He was a fine deer but finally he had enough and left.
I'm always thankful to see nature close by. This was a real treat. You can see others posts above.

That is a nice one for sure, Tom! He will probably make at least an eight. He looks a little bigger than the one I posted today, which was a small three point last year.

Hahaha! First a bird sticks its tongue out at you and then a deer! I think they are trying to tell you something. Nananana Boo Boo! tee hee
He looks a little skinny. Maybe part of it is because he is also shedding his winter coat.
But it is great shots anyway!

Beautiful shots of a handsome buck Tom! Funny about the pole. There are so many times I find things in my photos after downloading them that I didn't notice when concentrating on my subject.

You are lucky to have so many nature subjects all around: you photograph them so well, Fishing Guy.

Lovely! I don't get a chance to see deer in the wild ... city living isn't very welcoming to our deer friends. This was a treat. Thanks!

You get a lot of deer come by your back garden. What a privilege. Great shots. (I played too).

Good series Tom!

This one will grow a dandy rack for sure! He is looking a little ragged as his winter coat gives way to summer's thin red hair.

Now that was extremely rude of him to stick his tongue out like that. :) How lovely for it to come into your garden Tom. Is it the same one you saw the other day?

Interesting to get such close shots of the deer. He still looks shaggy. I guess he'll be shedding soon.

I wish that I was as skinny as this deer! I guess I shouldn't eat chocolate truffles while I blog:)

Nice shots! I seldom see photos of the bucks and the deer don't visit my yard very often.

Love how you can see his developing antlers-and his new summer coat.

Brave deer, in spite of your dog's presence, it did give you good poses. :)

You are so lucky to see him behind your garden...I am glad to have the strip pits as close as I do. But it would sure have been nice to live somewhere like that.
