Wednesday Potpourri - Birds

I thought I would share some bird photos for Wednesday Potpourri.

This is the start and is called - "Bird on a Wire". American Goldfinch - isn't that a movie name?
The next two are called - "Birds on the Hook I & II". A Cow Bird and a perky Cardinal.
This Black Capped Chickadee really took it literally and is on the end of the hook.
How about we check out - "Bird on the Net". I hope the Mourning Dove connection is as good as mine on the net.
The final one is - "Birds That Are Really Light" or "Try To Keep it in Balance". I like the boss Pigeon in the middle trying to keep it under control.
I hope you enjoyed my bird shots, and not from a gun.

Fishing Guy, seems I have been out of touch lately with you. But you were on vacation in Tenn. and Jack and I had to make a quick trip to Ohio for my brother's funeral on the fourth of July. Always fun to hit the Ohio state line where the land quickly gets flat, flat, flat and the skies turned to Ohio State grey. But on this trip they stayed quite blue! LOL! Do you know that you can't find a tenderloin sandwich in Virginia---we have to trek to Ohio for one. Take care.
P.S. Your guessing games are way too hard for me to even try.

You do have a better selection of birds in your post today than I do on my birds blog. Nice job.

Mourning doves are sorta my favorite. I like that you captured that one in a fun pose.

Did you notice how the chickadee is studying the bottom of the hook? "Hmmm... is that a worm down there? It's not moving."

Boss pigeon. (lol)

Those are really great and especially so because they are not from a gun.I think photography is a much greater challenge than shooting a bird or animal to kill it.

Lovely collection Tom.
They all look to be posing well for you. Cowbird though ugly is my favourite as I like its natural history.

The ones on the light-do look like they are balancing it!

Cute birds and cute post, FG.
I like watching them twitching their tales trying to keep their balance.
