#3 I a root from a Maple Tree that was coming out of the ground. Jackie was the first one to guess this one. I think this is her first time in the winners circle. She has a neat blog called 'The Painted Veil'. A very artistic lady.
#4 Is a fungus that was growing on the ground, probably on a root near the surface. I thought the grass might give it away. Our winner again is Joan, she was on a roll on this one.
Everyone that got part of the answer will be put into a drawing and the winner will get a framed photo of their choice from my collection .
I chose from all the entries and the winners are: Ta Da - I just chose a slip from Tammie Lee Spirit Helpers and one from Joan. Let me know what photo you want and it will be on the way to Montana and South Africa. They were the first one to enter and the next to last entry, I hope they feel blessed.

That was fun for sure -
even for someone like me, who started reading the answers first! :-)
Thank you!
Tom this is so much fun. You inspire us to look closely at your images. I like this. Thank you for your playful game and for your gift. I do indeed feel blessed. Wishing you a lovely day! Tammie
Way to go, Jackie, Joan and Tammie!
The face... tell me you see the face in the close-up of the root.
I missed it yesterday, but it is just as well, the only one I knew was the pine bough.
Yipee!! Yipee!! Yipeee!!
Old you-know-who is going to have fit!! LOL!! I wish I could see his face when he reads this!! LOL!! LOL!! I wish I could insert a face sticking out a tongue here. LOL!!
Craig: just because I let you win every now and then does not mean it is always going to be that way. Now I know you are probably on your way to mama to hide and cry behind her skirts. :) So go ahead, cry!! I will not hear you. :)
Hey Tom, do you think he is going to get the message with the above? Maybe I should have put it in more simple terms. :)
Thanks SO much for the prize Tom. I will let you know what picture I want via e-mail.
Carver: I do see the face in the close-up, but its still a root. That was a creative answer if you knew the movie.
I might have gotten the asphalt and the pine-but never would have guessed on the other two.
Yippee, maybe not right on, but close. Good enough for me.
Congratulations to the winners!!!
You completely stumped me on all four.
OK Tom, I did what you asked but I don’t know if I can take it next week. Throwing the game like that so she can win one is just to humiliating for a distinguished member of the Institute Better Science. I do understand why we had to do it but she is just impossible to live with some times, at least I don’t jump up and down like a silly goose when I win.
Congratulations to all the winners and whiners. (You know which one you are)
Craver: I saw the face too but just thought it was one of those anomalies found on the bug lady’s home world. For all I know it could be a crop circle in her own image. LOL
Yipee!! Yipee!! Yipee!! (Please J, get a grip on yourself!)
LOL
Love the game Tom! Can’t wait for next week!
Craig Glenn
Oh Tom, almost forgot! I spoke to the bug lady since her win. She want a framed photo of ME. The one in your comments section!
So can you ship that out right away!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Craig
Funs stuff here! Congrats to the winners!
No brain working today, good choices
Good one FG.
Cheers
Sorry I missed this one.... and thanks for dropping by of late.. it's always a pleasure to see your name in my comments and of course to turn up here as well.
Tom
Craig: What a fine choice she has made. I'll start on it immediately.
So you think you can wait until I am asleep and then take advantage of the situation do you Craig. Well I knew you were going to do something sneaky and I set my alarm to wake up and check up on you.
Did you and Tom REALLY think you could get away with this? How much did he pay you Craig?
I think this all sour grapes just because I am so clever. I know it is a conspiracy and Tom sends you the answers each week, well this week I waylaid the messenger and that is why you could not get them right.
Tom: Yes please send the picture of Craig. I have moved and I have just the spot for it in the back of my broom closet next to the cleaning rags and dust pans.
LOL!!LOL!!
I love the last photo with the fungus because it's scarce thing to see amongst the many postings I've visited. A part of nature that is hardly touched by all.
Thanks for reminding me about the country to enter in My World. I just did not see the blank line to fill in, so next time, if you can still remember my origin, please fill it for me.
Am also going down with my memory from time to time. lol.
Thank you again Tom.
Hi Tom, when I get back into the swing of things I want to make some attempts at What is it! These are great and some of your photos are real challenges. Have a great day.
Blessings and smiles
dang I missed the questions! cool pictures though :-)
such a witty take. i would have not guessed it. great guess by our witty bloggers.
That was fun Tom! Looking forward to #31.
Did you see that Kevin Skinner made the finals for America's Got Talent - woo-hoo!!! :)
That fungus is extraordinary.
Very nice shots, Tom! It's always difficult to guess!
Sorry I missed this one. I would never have gotten the last photo. Have a great day
Congrats to Becky, Joan, Jackie & Tammie. It's about time you let Joan win. I'm going to try harder next week.
