My World post is directly below.
What Is It - XXX for today is from my first long walk I took since my dog Jake is not able to come along. Since this is my 30Th What Is It post, someone is going to win a prize.
#1 This could be really easy.

Oh I know someone who is going to be mad that I am getting my answers in first again today Tom. You know who I mean even if I do not mention names.
Here are the only correct answers you are going to get (and watch him steal them again). LOL!!
#1 A salt lick which you put out for the deer.
#2 A pine tree branch
#3 A poor tree which has been strangled with wire
#4 Fungi/mushroom
See how easy this weeks one was.
Yippeee!! I am the winner!!
LOL!! LOL!!
#1 looks like a close-up of asphalt.
#3 I think is driftwood.
Shhh don't tell anyone I am on the computer, I am supposed to be doing some final packing.
Are you stream fishing this week? Your pictures look like where I am headed, a pebbley river beach (oh it could be a lake I suppose but I like stream fishin' best) a pine branch, fishing line in drift wood, and a fungus. If those are all wrong I don't know what they would all be except the last one would cause me to go to the doctor today if that was what was under my tongue! I'll come find my answers in a week! Off to chase the water and then hunt the wild huckleberry to the top of Burley Mountain. Or if it just keeps raining - sleep and eat.
Oh just 'cuz I said I fish doesn't mean I can or know what it is I do. So don't be goin' all technical on me. Mostly I just do it for an excuse to hike and watch the water move, currents and flow of water fascinate me. Have a splendid week!
The different rocks and stones on the path you walk ..( I know it was different without Jake)
A sort of Palm
Drift wood
Mushroom
Wow Tom I love these guessing games but I am never good at them. But, here goes.
1.Rocks along a stream or river bed with some type small fishing lure laying in the center.
2. Is a type of blooming cacti. Here we have one called a century plant but it blooms white blooms.
3. Looks like a large tree root to me. It reminds me of our Cypress tree and it's roots.
4. Wow I am stuck between crab or lobster. I think I remember that you do live in the southern region so I am going to go with crab.
LOL...I bet these are a gazillion miles away from correct but I love playing these games.
I keep thinking someday I will win the prize for being the worst guesser in history!!
I hope you have a great day!!:-)
I'll admit that the only one I feel even remotely that I can guess is the third one, which is a tree that has grown around a wire or fence.
is 3 driftwood?
4 looks like some kind of food, but i dunno!
Well here we go again Tom. Seems you just can’t run a peaceful game anymore without catching grief from that South African lady! I don’t know what planet she sent her answers from this week but jeesssss. She did mention that she was moving last weekend but I didn’t know it was to Pluto! As far as steeling her answers go, I would just as soon make up my own nonsense!
Oh well, mama says to be nice to her ‘cause it aint her fault ‘cause she’s a special needs person. That’s mama’s way of sayin’ she’s nutty as a fruit cake! But mama always finds a nice way of putting things…
Here we go…
1)
Can’t believe you came to Florida and didn’t stop by to see me. These are obviously photos of the moon rocks on display here at the cape.
2)
This here is a nice underwater photo of a sea anemone.
3)
This is an aerial view of Joan’s home planet. (Note the dry dusty landscape)
4)
Of course I recognize those colors… Red, Yellow, and Green. (How could Joan miss that? Is she color blind too, I did notice there was no color in the picture of her home world)
There you have it Tom. Another win for the guy living in Florida. I wont call any names either… CRAIG… !!!! HA!!! I WIN!!!
Sorry bug lady, back to the bee hive with you!
Craig Glenn
OK, I know that Joan has it all right and will be the winner, but here goes anyway.
1-The trail you always walk, sorry without Jake this time.
2-tip of a Pine branch.
3-New way of removing a long dead tree root or driftwood wired to your fence.
4-Don't eat that!
This week I have decided to ignore any and all remarks from a certain person in Florida as it is my "be kind to animals " week.
Me talking to the animals: Boy oh boy!! WHAT an insult to you poor animals .... so sorry I have to classify you with you-know who, The worst is that he is even bringing in his mama now to help him.
My goodness what a load of rubbish he is off with again this week. You can see why has has to stay on an island as nobody wants him around anymore. Not even his mama as far as I can see.
Tom: you have my deepest sympathy having to put up with THIS kind of person on yout What Is It every week. I sure wish I could help you in some way. Do you have the number of the cop shop in Florida, maybe they can help.
LOL!!
LOL!!
Man, this is a great game.
#3 looks like a face, doesn't it? It looks like a right profile, but it's missing an eye. Does anyone else see it? Anyway, that's why I'm guessing that #3 is an Ent.
(My other guesses for 1, 2 & 4 have already been taken.)
Hi Tom - I'm trying to catch up a little. I just read your post about losing your dog. That's one of the hardest things we have to do. I'm sorry.
I'm going with
1. asphalt with pebbles
2. Closeup of pine needles
3. Driftwood
4. fungus on the side of a tree
This is #30? Wow!
Potting mix
Pine tree branch
Drift wood
Tree fungus
Nice images FG
Cheers
FG-Here are my guess for the week maybe I got one! lol :)
1. Gravel?
2. Day lily?
3. Tree Trunk?
4. I haven't a damn clue!
Can't wait to see what the answers are....Have a great day!
I must be hungry because #1 looks like a chocolate cookie with white frosting and #4 makes me think of peach pie. #2 is part of a pine tree--I don't know if it is the male or female reproductive part. #3 has got to be grey driftwood from a lake or river.
P.S.I Like the new deer pic. When a deer's tale is down does that mean it is relaxed?
P.P.S. Your grandson is cute and do I detect some red hair on his head!
So what's up with Jake? Isn't able to make it any more? Hmmm...These are great shots.
stones in a road
pine needles
drift wood
fungi
wonderful pics!
