What Is It XXXII - Answers

What a fun week with a lot of nice tries.

When I saw the Sun reflecting of the water I thought how would a close-up come out. So I zoomed in and found out. Warren from England was right on with his answer. He has a neat birding site.
#2 I was on a walk through a grass field and found this soul from a shoe. I thought the tread pattern might be too easy. I decided to show the curl at the bottom. I guess I made it too tricky.
#3 The bird was a young Cowbird that was moulting. This bird does not raise its young but lays the eggs in someone else's nest. This bird was originally a traveler with the Buffalo and that was the way they were able to continue their line. You can see the beak and shape and can recognize the bird. This one had a female Cardinal along with it. Tina is a birder and always has great bird photos on her site. She was able to help me with the ID.
Thanks for your guess.

Those lights could have been a UFO reflection. I still believe it's a cyclops smiley face. And how do we know the cowbird isn't named Alfred?

Congrats to the winners. Ah well, maybe next time.

These were all brilliant ones Tom. Thanks for a great game again. SO sorry that YKW came off his planet to join again, but I see Bro is not much better and is giving me problems too. I will sort them both out soon. :)

I had a picture on my blog a while back of such a reflection.... I had know idea how nice it would look when I took it... when loaded onto the PC it came to life... I would have got that one but certainly not the others.
I am posting daily this week about a walk I took on Monday... It was very far but I am still recovering ha!... hope alls well with you and yours.

Nice photos. I had a chipping sparrow leading around a cowbird two or three times its size. And it was feeding the cowbird. Seems unfair but the cowbird was originally a bisonbird and followed the great herds across this country. Thanks for visiting my blog.
