Standing Rock

Here are some shots from Standing Rock which is in the Cuyahoga River. The main cemetery in Kent is called Standing Rock. The Cuyahoga River runs directly behind the cemetery.
The river cut its way through this area and there are large rock formations on the sides.
This one remains in the river as a monument of years past.
Here is the downstream formation from which I took the last shot. The stones where connected at one time.

This is a remarkable set of photos. I at first thought it was part of the Miami Erie Canal and that this big rock was part of a gate left in a river. But I learn something every day. I like the photo you posted today. Nice work.

Abraham Lincoln in Brookville, Ohio where you can see a tiny fly on a honey bee's wing.

I like these and would be in awe of such a rock. I would expect it as many tales to tell.
