I have been hoping to see some unusual ducks rather then just the mallard. I finally got a Wood Duck at a distance on Brady Lake.
I found this family of bad hair ducks. Tried my best to identify and finally gave up. What are they, they have funny head dresses and long bills?
I found this family of bad hair ducks. Tried my best to identify and finally gave up. What are they, they have funny head dresses and long bills? 
They are a diving duck and are often underwater. The photo doesn't help much but I took several of them. It is Friday fun.
How about a duck we all know. This is a Ruddy Duck, how do you like that blue bill. First one I ever saw. There are no Photo Shop tricks here.
So just for fun, this is an albino Mallard Duck. Well, it was swimming with the mallards. Too bad the eye isn't red.

So you have ducks made from wood? My goodness Tom!! How do they manage to fly? LOL!!
Great shots Tom but you know wooden ones can be painted in all kinds of colors. LOL!!
I don't think I have ever seen these, but maybe one of these days i will run across them at the strip pits.
Joan: You just put their wings out and throw them and the rest is easy. You need a boat to retrieve them from the water to fly them again.

I love the albino mallard! My gramma used to have tons of them on the farm.
Lovely ducks! I'd say a Red-Breasted Merganser looking at my book. Never seen one before! The Wood Duck is one I would like to get some good photos of. All of these are great finds.

I certainly enjoyed your fun shot ducks. I think you got some great photos. The bad hair ducks were very interesting.
