Sky Watch Friday #41

Sky Watch Friday is doing really well. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were over 300 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

The skies started out a little scary yesterday morning. The temperature at ground level was 39F. The dark skies turned into a snow flurries and the start of a tough day with high winds.
The high winds didn't stop but the sky definitely changed. Check out Old Glory flapping in the wind. This was a drive-by bridge shot.
The next bridge down was also being buffeted by the wind.
I was going to the doctors for a check up with some great results. My weight was down 12# and my bad cholesterol dropped from 99 to 59. The medicine is working and everything is going well.
There are some great skies if you go and visit.

Tom, that first photo is pretty ominous and a great capture. The photo of the flag is very patriotic. I am so glad you and your meds are bringing things under control. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

Wow...great skies. Didn't realize you had some bad weather over there. Your checkup sounds wonderful...nice that being ill has resulted in better health in the long run. Keep getting stronger!

I do like the sky watch photo with the flag. It seems appropriate and reminds me of all the places I have seen flags. Iwo Jima. Mt Surabachi.

Such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived. The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.

Bad news: cold weather and snowflakes in April in Ohio.

Good news: your new health regime is showing results. Wish both Jack and I could lose 12 pounds.

Have a great weekend.

SNOW! Ya'll gotta catch up with spring now. I knew your results would be good, because that last photo you posted of yourself on the rock, you looked really healthy and happy!

Great shots of the flag against the sky. The first sky shot is indeed a little scarey.

Tarolino said...

Brrr it looks cold in the first shot. Those type of clouds do appear when very windy but at least the flag was flying rather than just drooping.
You certainly have had very high colesterol levels but now they are pretty good. Glad the medicine is working for you.

Good job on regaining your health, and thanks for the pics--I like "winter trees" as poet Sylvia Plath called them.

Ilan said...

What a scenery set! The colors, composition.. Love it!
Awesome photos, fun to watch.

Unknown said...

Wow that first shot of those trees looked very unlike spring, I was relieved to see the others greening up further down. We have been in the 90's the past few days.
