Wednesday post was my 750Th and anyone who commented will be allowed to choose a framed photo from my photo collection. I will choose a name in the next few days.
The Wilds is a fun place to go in Ohio. We rode in a open bus and had a neat look at the animals on the open plain. The Asian Rhino were in a lake which are pictured above in the header.
These are the White Rhino family that were wondering the fields. The Sichuan Takin is a strange animal and here are two babies along with the adult.

Splendid photos, enjoyed them all and especially the one of the Sichuan Takin as I have never even heard of them before. Lovely trip to see all those wonderful animals.
Loved this post seeing all those animals in there wild setting! Your header image makes me smile!
What a great trip to the zoo!
and to think Joan sees this stuff out her window everyday!

Now this how "zoos" should be--lots of open space for big animals to roam. I'm not sure how "wild" any of it is though--that's always a relative term, with a continuum scale of caged animals on one end to a place where humans still function as predators on the other. Sort of like potted plants, native plants in the garden, and wild plants on their own...
Beautiful photo's!!
Congratulations on your 750th post!! That is just awesome!!
Take care
This looks like a fascinating place to visit. Where in Ohio is it? Your photos are wonderful.
Beautiful shots of the animals at The Wilds, Tom. Love the way your framed that Cheetah.
Have a great weekend.

Looks like a fun place to visit, and much cheaper than an African Safari.
Blessings,Ruth
Tom this is really a fantastic place you went to. Cheetah are my favorite animals above all others and second the elephant.
Congrats on your posts!! WOW!! That sure is a lot. I think I must be around 50 now although I have not checked up lately to see.
Craig: See how much of life you miss when you live in a city? :)
Wow... Nice pics... I esp. love the main home page title pic of rhino's bathing... Great blog...

Are you sure you were in Ohio and didn't take a fast trip to South Africa to visit Joan?
These are all excellent. Nice to see the wildlife looking wild instead of caged.
Fantastic... to see all these sorts of animals is neat! Animals you would only read about in magazines or see on nature shows. How cool is that?! I just love the Cheetah... it's my favorite... beautiful animal.
Hugs♥
I love the Zoo! Glad you took me along...great photos.
Great shots! We'll be in Akron/Cleveland again for Labor Day. Is this near that region? My kids would love it! (OK, so I will, too)
How does that oryx keep from stabbing itself?
Yes, cheetah's are beautiful creatures.
The big cats have always been a favorite of mine so the cheetah shots are really special. :)
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
All wonderful photos, Fishing Guy.
The close up of the cheetah is fantastic.
Fantastic pics! My girls would love to visit all the neat animals you captured.
The cheetah is my favorite cat...well, other than my kitties here at home. There is just something about them I love.
Wonderful! That last one is outstanding in the round frame.
