I made a trip to Nashville with the wife and stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. This is one of the indoor garden areas called the Cascades. Check out the dual waterfalls.
The flowers abound throughout the hotel. It is located next to Opryland.
We opted out on Opryland this time because the wife found a show the same night at the Loveless Barn. It is located next to the famous Loveless Cafe. Steve Wariner was doing a tribute to Chet Atkins. We had supper with the band (well, one table over). The guy on the left side is Steve's brother.
The show was wonderful and Steve is an accomplished guitar player. He sang and wrote "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" and "I'm Already Taken".
It was a neat tribute to Chet Adkins and the money went to his scholarship fund.
Ray Stevens of "The Streak" fame was there because he was a friend of Chet's.
The trip home was spiced up by visiting with George and Betsy Adams, friends and fellow bloggers. Yes, you do make friends while blogging. Check out Betsy's great write up of the meeting on her blog.

Wonderful post. And you had an EB with fellow bloggers. Great post, fishing guy.
I saw Betsy's account of your visit a few days ago.
The hotel looks great, and sounds like you had some fun music. I saw Ray Stevens in concert years ago. He was hilarious. Would love to see him again.
Great post. I've always wanted to go Nashville and stay at the Opryland Hotel (and I'm not a huge country music fan). Always neat when virtual friendships on the net can be converted to in-person friendships.
Sounds like you had a good time. I like the indoor garden.
I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Nashville and I hope you will come back to this part of the country soon.
Sounds like a great time and I enjoyed your shots and post.

P.S. Tanks for stopping by and nice comments.
It is so cute to see in the picture fellow blogger that we are exchanging comments on with, away from his bait and fishing rod.

Great trip & Great post
You were really living it up staying in such swanky digs! Good for you, you can't take it with you, so you may as well enjoy while you can. Seems you had a great time with concernt, dinner and meeting up with friends.
The hotel looks very nice..and oh my those waterfalls..a Betsy and Geo. fav!!
I read about your visits with B and G..so glad you got to meet and had a fun time.
Ray Stevens!! Wow..wouldn't have recognized him if you hadn't put a name with photo!! How we all change!!
That sounds like one fun trip !!!
Very cool waterfall in that first photo ...it looks very exotic..
It is so good to hear musicians who can really play. Especially when they work well together. Lately, I have had the misfortune of sitting through a session or two where there were issues with conflicting tempos, tuning or vocal harmonies. Ouch.
the waterfall is stunning. I used the pic for my new desktop background! :)
looks like you had a nice time. I hope you did
Those twin cascades are just perfect man made waterfalls. Good post, nice hotel.
George and Betsy look like such wonderful people!
Sounds like a great time from the beautiful hotel grounds to meeting friend bloggers at a great show.
