My World Tuesday Season # 2 Episode # 7

This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Louise, Sylvia and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive. Check out the new layout at the My World site.

Last weeks views of the bridge across the Cuyahoga River where from a month ago and here is the progress since then. They have built a temporary bridge over the river and have started the bridge piers.
Here you can see the crane that is used in building the forms and locating the steel reinforcements.
From this side you can see the temporary bridge and the construction equipment on the far side of the river and the two sets of railroad tracks. It will be interesting to see how that is handled. The yellow equipment nearest to you is used to pour the concrete into the forms.
You can see a lot of great worlds above.

Great photos of your world! We have lots of construction going on in the parts of town I am in the most, too, including the inside of where I work. I could hardly breath today with all the fumes.

I love seeing how things are constructed - and watching the building of a bridge is so fascinating! I was fortunate to be able to see the progress of the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which was built alongside of the original older bridge to alleviate the traffic congestion. Each bridge is now one-way and accommodates traffic flow very nicely.
I was traveling again so I haven't been around, but I'm back now!

Very nice - I thought the lights of the houses coming through the trees were very nice. Interesting construction going on too. Hope you will show us the finished product.

Tom this should be an interesting process to follow. Hope you'll keep up posted.
I like that first shot with the lights showing through the trees.

We've got a bridge project going on not too far from my house. It will be nice when it is finished along with all of the other road construction in our area. The rains are slowing progress down though.

They've made a lot of progress in a month, but looks like the complete new bridge will take many months.

That's a lot of work.
Great to see how much progress they made since last week.
In Germany, in my hometown they have a small bridge like that closed for traffic now since almost a year. They often take forever to fix stuff.

I bet it's going to look great once completed!

Tom, bridges are always interesting, both for the building shapes and for how they can transform the surrounding landscape.

That bridge being built must be the 'talk of the town' Tom..... They are making great progress.

Have a great Thanksgiving. We are headed out of town to do some hiking--after a big turkey dinner.

Looks like it's coming right along.
I hope it doesn't take too much longer.
