Camera Critters 2

Misty Dawn is doing a Sunday Camera Critters where you post photos of animals. Check it out.

It was a dark dismal morning last Sunday and I saw four Turkey Vultures sitting in a tree. It was hard because of the distance and lighting but I tried. This is my best close-up.

WOW! My post is of Turkey Buzzards too! What a coincidence! I love the shot of them sitting in the tree. Mine were on the roof of my barn.

Oh another set of buzzards. Where do you all live that you have buzzards like this. They sure are ugly arn't they?

Those fat black birds with the red lips (beaks) sure are grotesque looking. We once saw around 35 turkey vultures sitting on the roof of a condo in Rehobath Beach, Delaware. That was a very ugly sight. And two weeks ago we saw a turkey vulture attacking a deer carcass alongside the road of interstate #66.

We don't get those here. How amazing the variety of birds there are. These are strange ones.

what a coincidence that I visited you today: a turkey vulture that was eating something in a ditch almost ran into my car. the wing span was HUGE. thank goodness i was going slow because it was one of those bad vermont dirt roads. What a beauty. If not for the windshield i could've touched it. and of course, i had the camera but it was all zipped up. You did good with these photos!
