Birds in the Mist

It was a very foggy birdy day in the city today. The weather has started to change and the birds are getting active. There was a lot of chirping and calls from the trees. A Robin was good enough to pose for me. There was a racket coming from the back yard and when searching the trees I found a bunch of Grackles.
They thought the bare top of the tree was safe.
They also hid among the branches.
It was a special day with a Red Tailed hawk in a tree with some other birds.

Nice to see one of your Robins.. ours hid most of the day.
We had a dull start to today with hail and sleet.. then the sun came out... I had a visit off a friendly grey squirrel which as stopped by all through winter.. she was thin when she first came.. now she is a chunky old girl. She will feed from my hand. I'll post pictures of her next week.
All the best

Greetings for the Fishing Guy in Northest Ohio. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog about the NCAA tournament. Since our one daughter graduated from the University of Virginia we have really followed the ACC. It is quite a conference---all the teams are tough but UNC I think is the toughest. I hope they win.

These are delightful birds as they remind me that the weather is getting warmer. The weather was warmer today with a brisk wind so the snow was melting fast. That made me a very happy person.
Very nice pictures.

Nice photography. The robins are starting to hang around now and fighting with larger birds trying to convince them to move on as the robins like this area to make nests and raise their young and don't like grackles and others, like blue jays around. So this struggle goes on.

Your photograph is nice.

Glad to see the signs of spring are showing up around Cleveland.

I took the boat out Saturday morning and had a bang up run on bluegills with a few nice perch thrown in. The water temp was 43, it had gained 4 deg in a week.

Hmmmm....are you going to choose another horse for the final game Monday night? North Carolina sure was a disappointment last night. They got stomped! That was a ride on a broken down horse in the desert.

Looks like you are warming up a little. We cooled off while we were gone. It was just 75 today. :) Maybe we can golf tomorrow, though.
