I Saw A Fishing Buddy Last Night

I ran into an old fishing buddy while out to eat yesterday. Don and I spent a lot of time together when we worked at the same office. He is an excellent fisherman and taught me a lot through the years. We have fished in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York together. He had a large boat that we used to fish Lake Erie. We have camped together on extended fishing trips. We always had loads of fun when we went out and usually caught a lot of fish.

He said we had to go out this year for sure and he has his boat on Mosquito Lake near Warren, Ohio. It is one of the lakes I fished before moving to Lake Hodgson.

Don introduced me to The United States Power Squadron (USPS) which I was a member of for several years. He is still a member and leader in the organization. I learned a lot from the courses they offer on boating and did a lot of teaching of courses. It got to be a little to much as I got older and ended up with a job with a lot of driving involved.

I'll have to tell you of some of the fishing trips we made at a latter time but needless to say we caught our fair share of fish on the trips. He even talked me into ice fishing for trout. That was a cold experience I won't soon forget.
