Camera Critter #55

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

Photos from Brady Lake of the Great Blue Heron. This is the same place I shot the ducks on the lake in the previous. I saw this guy one day last week but received no co-operation.
Well mister heron what is the idea of sticking out your tongue at me?
Okay okay, I get it, I'm disturbing you and you are moving. Could you give me more warning. I'm zoomed in you see.
So across the lake he goes.
Onto the other shore he flew and now into mixed company. Do you notice the male mallard? You can see a lot of other neat critters by visiting the site and linking in.

What great reflections in the lake. Love that beautiful heron. The shot with his wings open is very cool.

You got some great shots of the blue heron. He may not have been cooperative, but I like the way you captured him when you zoomed in.

Great shots, as usual, FG!
I don't believe I've ever seen a birds tongue before. It doesn't surprise me that you are the one to show me a bird sticking his tongue out. Was he panting or saying "na na na na boo boo"?

The reflections of the red building are really neat. And your heron with it's tongue sticking out is priceless. Isn't it a treat to get home and look at the photo and see something like that?

Thanks for stopping by

I think those shots are great! Especially looking over his shoulder. You never know when they will cooperate and when they will get spooked by your presence. That looks like a beautiful lake. Do you fish there?

Your reflections are outstanding. I'm trying to get out into the lakes early to get some nice reflections but it's always so windy.
Your heron is beautiful, he is a handsome fella, a wonderful close up.

He's kinds giving you the eye, isn't he ! :-)

He could have at least let you know he was going to move :-)

Love the herons. They are so stately. Have you ever gone up to see them nesting in West Akron? I heard about it last spring and thought about driving up there to see it myself this year.
