Camera Critters #54

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating. This week is a post from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park . This is one of two Red Squirrels that was hunting food in the wooded area near the walking path. This is for my Grandson Andrew who enjoys squirrels.

He was very busy and didn't pay much attention to me. It took me a while to find this little guy but once I did I was able to get quite a few shots. He was in the shade for a while.
Eventually he came out into a sunny area.
He was very busy looking for that perfect smell. Where did I bury that acorn last year.
Oh, here it is and it taste perfect.
I really don't mind that guy taking the photos as long as he does me justice.
He is a cutie and I love his red coat.

And you certainly did him justice! Good work Tom.

It has been many years since I encountered a red squirrel. Thirty years or so ago they were common in my area but no more.

He's so cute! despite with so many trees around here, we don't see too many squirrels here.

What a cute little squirrel. They have a "sweeter" look then my Fox Squirrels. His color is so pretty and that white eye ring really stands out.
