I was with my Brother-In-Law when I spotted this. Do you see it? It is there and quite visible. I have seen very few sitting still so far this year.
Did you see the dragonfly on the branch? It has a good hold.
It kept hold of the branch and got a shot from the bottom.
I decided to try for a real close-up, how about this one. You can see the feet and spikes on the legs.

I love photographing dragonflies when they sit still long enough. The used to have a "dance" in our backyard, it looked like hundreds of them!

Dragonflies much underrated creatures. Many and varied in colour and so quick. I've still yet to get a photo of one. Marvellous captures.
