This is definitely more difficult than I thought. I would say the first is a photo of rust while the second is that of a chandelier...it really is pretty.
That first pattern looks familiar. Like the steel they use for truck boxes or ramps. It may be too generic an answer, but I'd say it's automotive steel.
The second frame looks like aluminum shavings, but I've never really looked at them really close like that. I'm going to just take a guess... is it a rabbit?
Ok, I am going to say the second one, def made of aluminum, is part of an angel sculpture of some sort. Unless you were being tricky about the significance of this week! lol
The first one is diamond plate. I only knew that because one of our clients when I worked at an ad agency used diamond plate on many of their products.
Is the 2nd one the wheel of a fancy Harley Davidson? :)
Does look like diamond plate and shaved aluminum but what is that second one. Hmmm.....a 4th of July wind chime of some sort. :) Be back to find the answer.
I'm visiting from The Twisted Fencepost. Your comment about the spider cracked me up. The first pic is diamond plate of some sort. The second pic is twisted metal. I'm a genius!
I see that my "friend" down in FLorida has been talking about me again.....when will he learn that I am much more sneaky than him and dont switch photographs but put in wrong ones only he can view. :)
Hello Tom, so sorry I am late with this one but I did not have a computer last night as I took mine to work.
#1 is a concrete slab, probably a drain cover of some kind.
#2 is made of aluminum but I do not have a clue what it is.

Hmmm...that first one is that metal mat thing you drive your car on before it's lifted up at the car shop. Or in your garage?
That second thing looks like some fantastic piece of sculpture. Can't wait to see it!

First one looks like a manhole cover of some kind
Second one looks like an ornamental part of a screen or storm door....

I can't wait to find out! I thought of razor wire when I saw the second one, but that can't be.

The first photo looks like a tread on a man hole cover, the second is very difficult, maybe a spring system for something, or just a sculpture.
the first looks like a manhole cover maybe? number two? some kind of aluminum striping? this was a good one!
