Kent State Advances to MAC Finals

Kent State basketball has been really exciting this year. They were ranked as high as 22 in the nation because of their good play. They moved into the final game of the MAC tournament. They beat Miami of Ohio last night. It was a close game and very hard fought. There was a lot of rolling on the floor during the game going after the ball. The referee's let the play go on. Luckily no one was hurt badly. Kent State now goes on to play Akron in the finals. They beat Akron both times they played them this year. Akron had an easy game getting to the finals.

There is talk that Kent State will go to the NCAA Playoffs regardless of the outcome of the game tonight because of their play all year. This should be an exciting game. My children attended both colleges but I'm a KSU fan.

I have been watching games on tv. Saw Miami and Toledo play yesterday. I think it was yesterday. Some of the games are really great.

I'm glad that Kent made it farther than WVU. It was painful watching them fall apart last night against Georgetown in the BigEast semifinals. At least they'll go to the NCAA tourney this year. They won the NIT last year.

Abe: Yes, the little MAC can have some pretty good games. The one last night was really exciting until the end.
Jedi: Georgetown is a tough team as it's not bad to loose to them.
Thanks for the heads up on the spamer. I normally delete them when I see them.

Well, I have to admit I am sorry Miami of Ohio lost. I graduated from Miami in 1966 when they were the Miami Redskins. Now they have become politically correct and are the Miami Redhawks.

Fishing guy, Texas plays for the Big12 championship tomorrow. Hook-em horns! Maybe we will meet in the NCAA somewhere. :)

Jack & Joanne: The Lady Redhawks won the womens championship.
Jo: We would meet in the finals by the brackets now released and Kent has only made it to the final 8 once. Texas has a better chance of making it that far.
