What a Difference and Photo Ops

It was just two days ago when I was taking pictures in the snow but it has made a dramatic swing. The complete area near the Holly Bush has come alive with small purple and white spring flowers. I planted a package of 100 bulbs in that area and they have multiplied since the planting. I will have to clean the bed now that the snow is gone for now. I showed the white blooms yesterday but the little purple flowers are taking over today. Yesterday the flowers were only green sprigs.
Here is a close-up and the camera liked the background better.
The camera co-operated much better and shows a lot of detail on the bloom.
The horses are feeling a little more comfortable in their pasture on the way to work. Check out the February post I linked above.
Anna has been doing a Project Red and just finished. I had to take this shot last week when the snow was still here. I think she would like it. Its the water main handle at the plant I work.
The Easter Bunny lost one of it's larger eggs just off the road up from my house.
Actually it blew away from a display about 200 yards up the road. I shot this at lunch and it was gone after work.
There I go with some photo ops I took advantage of, so I hope you enjoyed the little mixed up travel through my area of NE Ohio.

Weather is crazy here too. I wear t-shirt and shorts during the day and a winter jacket at night.

That's a funny shot of the Easter egg.

It's good to see some flowers on your site. The snow is pretty, but I'm looking forward to keeping up with your gardening. Remember...herbs! I'm going to get ideas from you for an herb garden so I hope you get your barrel ready this spring.

I don't have a barrel, so instead, I'm going to get milk crates and make herb gardens out of them. I'll line the inside with some kind of organic material. I can get milk crates from work because they just get thrown out.

The crocus are beautiful! It won’t be long now until your favorite lakes are open.

I checked on my favorite small lake this evening. It had been lowered for a year and a half for breastwall repairs and is now ice free and refilling nicely. I’m going to break out the rods and check on the perch as soon as I get a few more honey-dos finished

We planted some crocus last year, but I guess those bulbs were dead or something cause they never popped up with all of the other bulbs here..

Like those colors of the crocus flowers and also those horses too.

Nice pictures today.

What a differance your pictures show us today.. I like the slad of rock next to the Holly, and how the house bricks have been used to make the border. I have not seen that in a while.. they make great edging stones.
Glad you liked my B & W pictures today, I nevr did them at one time but now I will alter them if I think it might help. Sometime it can add detale lost by glare.
Anyhow thank you again for all the visits and comments this week... so glad we share similar interests and found each others blogs.

Love the water main handle! What great shot...the only way I would have taken it differently? I would have taken it ALOT closer than that! I wish I would have had that here for my Project Red!

Thanks for letting me know about it! :)
