What a Sunrise With a Warning.

I had a great sunrise this morning. I remember a sailor saying "Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning. Red skies at night, sailors delight". Well, this one turned out to be very true as you will see. The sun came up as a beam through the sky. The only thing I did to the pictures was crop them.
It continued to rise in all it's beauty. Isn't this amazing?
It was almost over.
It's ready to finish. It's all done and look at the roads as clear as can be.
Here is my drive home. This is a split four lane road with only one of the two lanes passable on my side. We were going 40 MPH.

Nice pictures! The drive home must have been long. By the way Fishing Guy, are you pulling a Rick Lee and photographing while driving? :)

Carletta: I plead guilty to drivving and snapping a picture. I couldn't skip the sunrise or the road.

That is one of the first "sayings" my mother taught me that worked every time I said it or thought about it. Nice photos.

Thanks Abe: I take that as a true compliment coming from a great photographer.

Excellent! It looked like it was forming a red tornado. That's nice how you got the pictures in sequence.

Move over Rick Lee...someone is really learning....LOL. Kidding of course. I love his work too.

SG: I'll never be in Rick Lee's class as a photographer.
Shionge:You do keep both hands on the wheel while driving. I saw three cars off the road in a ditch during the drive.

Absolutely spectacular colors! And, you were prepared for the dismal afternoon of snow. I live in PA and fortunately we dodged the bullet this last time.

The colors are beautiful! Don't you just love being there to witness a sunset that takes your breath away? I've been known to stand in the middle of the road in absolute amazement. Yeah, I think I'm an addict.
